For Sale 2 XJ 550 Secas for parts - $100 and you pick them up

    Need to get rid of 2 project bikes that I finally admitted I will never get back to. I'd rather they go to a loving home where someone who really has the time to deal with them can either get them back together or part them out to people who want/need the bits.

    No titles for either.

    One was primary project and is in pretty good shape. Paint is original red with white with typical dings for its age. Cleaned and rebuilt carbs (could probably use it again), rebuild master cylinder, new brake lines, replaced fuse box, etched and coated inside of tank, replaced valve shims.

    2nd was picked up primarily because it had a stock exhaust which I moved to the first one. It was a repo and I don't have keys for it, although supposedly it ran when it was taken. This one was rattle-can painted black by PO, I tested sandblasting the tank clean at one point, so it has partial paint. This one is completely in pieces. I was in the middle of an ambitious tear down when I stopped working on it. The engine and transmission are still in the frame and intact, although I did pull the clutch plates

    I have a YICS tool and shop manual I'll throw in too.

    If you are interested, send me a message. I can get a few pictures if desired. Again, you have to be in or willing to come to the Sacramento, California area to come pick them up.

    To be clear: I do not have titles for either, and I'm not interested in parting them out myself.

    Maybe we should contact one of the reality tv shows and get them to pay for me to drive all over North America picking bikes for us and call it
    " dirty old bike pickers"
    Of course we would then have to build a 2 storey 50,000 square foot barn to hold it all.
