Hi, Don't know if your frame is the same as 750, but the first year the 1100 came out it was in the 750 frame. Hope this helps.

The 900 WAS put into a 750 frame. unsure of exactly the diff if any between the 650 and 750 frames though. A query to chacal may be beneficial to u.

The 1100 frame is basically a modified xs 750 triple frame, not the xj 750. The maxim 1100 is basically an xs11 with different body work and front suspension. It is a completely different design than the other xj bikes so parts cant easily be swapped.

As for swapping a 900 engine into a 750 frame...It should basically be a bolt on affair. I have heard rumors of tank clearance issues on some models but there are several people who have done the swap without issues.

Pretty sure he wanted to know if the 900 would swap into a 650 frame, not 750.

    Thanks Plumber!

Any idea how close the weights are between the motors?

I would think they are all within 3 pounds, the minor difference of several MM's of bore, a different stroke crank with different weights, cams with different lift, in thousanth's, and a different middle gear ratio on the 900.
