    Hello,
My first post here so hope it is in the right place.
I just picked up a 700 maxim and am not sure if it can be resurrected
(sat outside for years with plugs out) also missing misc. parts.
    My main question is this,
are there a lot of parts that can be transferred to my 650 maxim or my 650 midnight?
    Thanks,
    Joe

If it had plugs out, then the inside of the jugs are probably rusted, and it will be a huge pain to get the pistons to let go of the cylinder wall. I did this on a dirt bike, and it was not happy inside the jug. You'd need at least: pistons, rings, cylinder hone. Probably would need crank bearings, cylinder bore, etc. Not a light project, nor a cheap one.

As far as parts donor, I'd guess little would cross over. the 700 was shaped and styled kinda different then the rest of the maxims.

But I certainly could be wrong, hopefully more knowledgeable ones will join in.
