I have an 80 XJ650 Maxim that I put on the forks and front brakes from an 82 XJ750 Seca. I did not use the master cylinder from the Seca. My bike had a mc from an 82 Honda Magna because a previous owner swapped out the original bars for a more traditional set of straight bars. This mc has a bore of 5/8 while the Seca mc has a bore of 11/16. Is this going to cause any problems or is there another suggested master cylinder that I should get to make sure the brakes work properly? I have seen several threads talking about changing to a bar mounted mc on a Seca but they never really mention what mc that they used.

Thanks for any help on this.

That is a very small change I would guess not much difference.
    5/8 = 0.625
    11/16 = 0.688

I could be wrong, but as long as you get the feel for the bike with that MC and the swapped out front end, you should be good to go.
