750 TRIPLE

    I used to own a 750 triple that was a very good bike. I don't remember the year how many years did yamaha make the 750 triple shaft drive. And are there any of these bikes around for sale?

    Where are you looking? There's one for sale near me. Drive by it at least once a day. I stopped and looked at it one day. No one was around so I called the phone number on the sign. Guy says it runs good and he's "asking $1500 or best". Seems high to me. The seat has been recovered (poorly), but looks pretty much stock other than that. Has a "Seca" look to it.

    The XS750 Triple was made from 76-79, they had a special version along with the standard in 78 & 79. They increased in to an 850 in 1980 & 81.

    They had some problems with the 76/77 model and made a 772d model which supposedly fixed the tranny and over heating problems.
