    Interesting.

    -it's probably not an '81 unless he went to a lot of trouble swapping things;

    -dunno WHAT those stovepipe looking mufflers are all about;

    -"valves timed" yeah right, so now we know how much he doesn't;

    -and it probably needs a solenoid, or the button cleaned, or the starter serviced. Or maybe a sidestand switch.

    -it's worth around $800 as it sits; obviously the brakes are going to need to be done first thing, and I'd double-check the valve clearances.
