81 xj 750 to bobber project HELP!

Hey guys I wanted to ask a few questions as I am looking to pick up this bike today.
1. Will this bike make a good bobber?
2. How much money (on average) Would it cost to do this?
3. How do I make the rear end so it is just a single seat hard tail?
Thanks for all the help. The wiring harness is off the bike and I have no clue how to put it back on. I am getting the bike for VERY cheap and it runs (as he says.) Also are there lots of parts for me to be able to replace if things are not good?

 

yes lots of parts out there.
try steel struts to replace shocks before you hard tail frame if you cut the tail off you will need a hoop

i picked up this hoop to repair the hack job PO did
