I'm starting a complete custom project on 82 750 maxim. I want to end up with a combination of a chopper fat boy. I have some drawn up plans but no set direction. i just finished stripping the entire bike and could use any ideas, thoughts, tips, hints, secrets, do's, don'ts and whatever you have to add. I would like to have it finished by spring but there is no rush. Help on where to get certain parts would also help. Thanks a alot. I'll put some pics up soon

Sounds like you're kinda headed in a direction similar to my build I finished this past summer. Plan on fabricating the parts you'll need 'cause you won't find anything off-the-shelf for anything that's not stock (fenders/seat/tank..etc.. There are a lot of unique and well executed builds on here so take some time lookin' through the modifications section. Look forward to seeing what you come up with! :D
