    I've finally got a personal motivation to make myself start on my '82 750 Seca project that I bought almost a year ago from a fellow in San Antonio. The only thing I've done to date on the bike is (a) remove about 1.5 gallons (yes GALLONS) of oil from the crank-case. (b) removed & completely broken-down & cleaned the carbs (which need to be re-assembled).. and (c) tracked down an electrical gremlin or two.

    Today - I've started with a renewed enthusiasm and a plan. There's lots to do, not much money to do it with.. but there IS an end goal in sight. You'll find out more about the end goal at a later date...

    Here's my current (known) laundry list:

    * Rebuild carbs (currently disassembled)
    * Install spin-on adapter (when they are shipping from Mike)
    * Install & Test carbs
    * Change Fork Seals
    * Rebuild Both Calipers
    * Rebuild Brake Master Cylinder Piston
    * Change all Wheel Bearings
    * Change all Brake Pads & Shoes
    * De-Rust & Seal Tank with POR15
    * Obtain Right Side Battery Cover (yeah - I know.. Unobtanium)
    * Re-Pad and Re-Cover the Seat

    As I come across any other items that may be flat-out broke or missing - I'll appeal to the list(s) and/or Ebay... I'll be replacing the turn signals with smaller after-market ones - as the originals are missing, and the ones that the PO put one.. well.. they have some electrical gremlins present after he soldered wires directly to the bulbs... and soldered hot wires to ground, etc...

    Wish me luck... and if you know of an available piece of unobtanium, please let me know!

    Good luck on your Seca project.
    I have the same year and hopefully getting closer to having it on the road.
    Unfortunately it's getting too late in the year for any riding.

    Go get 'em Rex! Sounds like you've got your hands full for the winter. Be cautious using sealers on tanks. If you don't do it as outlined in the instructions, your in for trouble. Follow the directions to the letter.

    Thanks guys. Yep - the sealers are no problem so far. I've treated 3 tanks previously with POR-15 kits - and none have deveoped any problems. But then again.. I do follow directions.
    Thanks again,
    Rex
