I am having trouble with that computer sensor display. The gas gauge reads correctly then goes to empty (when it is not) causing the sensor display to recycle and blink its aggravating red light! Any ideas what is going on or should I just disconnect the sensor display? Thanks. BTW there are plenty more questions I have about this bike forthcoming. I bought it last year with only 14k original miles on it and the only real problem is cold morning start up.

you know what i have had to do with my bike with sensors acting up like that is to follow the wire harness from the sensor to where it plugs in usually in the head light bucket, and clean the connections with green scotch bright then pinch the female end slightly then reseat the connections. this has worked on the brake sensor and the turn signal.

i believe the sensor in the tank is on the left side near petcock. on mine it goes from there to a connector near fuse box under seat. when i unplug it it says im out of fuel.
