82 Maxim 650 exhaust Advice

Hello everyone! I started a build on my 82 maxim 650 and the stock exhaust is trashed from the collector back. I want to build my own exhaust system utilizing the stock headers and I do not really want to buy another stock collector. Ideas would be appreciated!! Thank you!

Last spring I took the headers and collector off my Seca 650 to have them JetHot coated. After they (JetHot) sandblasted the collector it had multiple holes so I had to find another. Short story is that after it was all done and back together I wish I had just bought a brand new 4 into 2 header and muffler system. It would have been about $200 less expensive in the end. But then again it would not have been JetHot coated...... My $.02 worth.... just find a nice 4 into 2 system unless you want to spend a lot of expensive screw around time.

 

I have seen someone on here before who made a really nice exhaust system using two 2 into 1 exhaust collectors but I cant seem to find it. I f anyone knows what im talking about please let me know. thanks!
