82 Maxim 750 header on 81 Seca 750?

    Anybody know if the header & 4-into-2 crossover from an 82 Maxim 750 fit a 81 Seca 750? The Seca seems like it might be more upswept at the muffler junction.

    Nope! The mounting points for the Seca are different. You would have to relocate the kickstand mount for it to fit. If you examine some pics you will see that the headerpipes run just to the inside on the Seca and to the outside on the Maxim. Therefore the Maxim collector would not clear the kickstand mount on the Seca which is a little more inside. However>>>the kickstand mount can be removed by cutting the weld and rewelding in a cuitable place.
