This Maxim was purchased for my youngest son Chris for $350.00. All fabrication/modification was done by myself and my 2 sons Chris and Josh. The concept was to build a bike that was hard to classify. It has a little bobber, streetfighter and chopper elements built into it. The frame has been significantly modified from the neck to the intigrated rear fender. Upholstery was done by my son Josh and is black suede. I did the ppg basecoat/clearcoat paint My youngest son Chris did the majority of the concept/design work. The assembly was done by all three of us. We have about 500 hrs. total in the build. That is one awesome looking bike!

I generally prefer the classic look but you guys certainly hit on a look that is hard to classify.

One heck of a job - congrats!

Not digging the headlight, but I can definitely appreciate the work and time put into this project! It does look absolutely amazing, and I would certainly be taking a second look to see what it was.

    I love those handlebars!

awesome bike - do you have more pics? I have so many questions!!! Where's the battery? I'm guessing in the round tank under the seat?
    What jetting?
Is that the ignition switch under the seat?
    What brand of tires?

The handlebars are the stock pullbacks, cut and welded into a clubman style. The ends are capped with buffalo head nickels. As far as the headlight goes not everyones cup of tea. Trying to get a little rat/barhopper into it to go with the taillight/gas cap theme of grab what you can style. 8O

Have complete documentation of the build. email me at designsincoldsteel@yahoo.com and we can give you whatever info that you want! Battery is in the round tank under the seat along with all the electronics and connections. That is the key/ignition switch you see under the battery. The jetting is to lean right now with the addition of the headers and air filters and have yet to put on the street (no plates yet). Tires are Barracuda from J&P Cycles (stock sizes) as oversize will not fit without major modification to the shaft/swingarm assembly. Have Pictures from beginning to end!

Looks great. However, I'd go with a Maxim tank instead and toss the square Seca style tank (just my personal taste)
You did a good job with it anyways.

to be honest, i cant stand the stock tank, be it seca or maxim.. this tank is believed to be of an old hodaka or husqvarna, however we're not positive. thanks for the comments though!!!
