82 Seca 650 camshaft sproket and cam timing problem

    Hi guys and girls

    The rebuild is comming along great . I fixed the broken spark plug and install set a new gasket . How ever i didnt pay enough attention to timing when i took it apart . I do have the instrustions from the dealer but they are realy vage ( no pictures) what i have done is Line up the mag on the T mark . the camshaft center holders have arows and i lined them up with the dot on the camshaft . What puzzles me is that the cam sprockets arows dosent line up with anything . I slowly turned the engine ccw 2 times with no ploblems so the vales arent hitting . I am worried that i may be on the overlap since that the arrows on the sprocket dont make sence .

    I alsow looked here for a guyed but i didnt find any If there is a guide here please send me the link.

    When the Crank is at this position, ... the Camshaft TIMING Marks must Line-up with the:
    Detent Visible in the Bullseye Holes ... -or-
    Arrows on the Cams Point EXACTLY at Triangular Indicators on Camshaft Bearing Caps or Thrust Bearing Bridges.

    The TEST is to have everything Lined-up, ... right.
    Jack-over the Plant through 2 complete cycles. (4-Turns)
    Slowly bring the Crank to TDC, ...
    ALL Indicators STILL Perfectly in Time.
