Can someone with an 82 XJ550 possible give me the measurement of the center-center spacing of the mounting "bolts" for the gauge cluster?

Any help in the matter is appreciated.

Seca or Maxim? I have (2) Secas, an '81 and an '83 and they are identical. Maxim might be different. Can I help?

OK, without pulling it apart access is a bit limited, but: Using a set of pliers' handles as a divider and confirming as best as possible with a flexible tape measure slid thru there I come up with 125mm (about 4 7/8") on center for the instrument bracket to triple tree mount bolts. Given the crudeness of my measuring tool, it might be off plus/minus one or two MM at the most. I just checked the Yamaha parts fiche, and the two (Seca, Maxim) have different part numbers for the upper triple tree and they do look quite different in the diagram. Whether that spacing would be the same I dunno...550 Maxim owner needs to chime in...
