82 xj550 maxim crankcase filter size?

    How do you mean, are you changing from PCV to an open air breather or are you looking to change the foam in the airbox base?

    IIRC Fitz or somebody made a how-to on changing the foam disc part in the airbox... (probably was Fitz, he's forgotten more about 550's than most will ever know!)

    the stock airbox is gone so the PO had a filter on it and I needed to replace it, I can't find it anywhere since I had my bike torn apart

    Best just to measure where the filter fits on then, pretty simple to do. Doesn't have to be same size as P/O fitted, after all it's not like it's essential for originality lol...
