82 XJ650RJ Rear Wheel

    Will the rear wheel and brake backing plate from an 82 Maxim
    fit on my 82 XJ? Thank You

    Which model of 82 XJ do you have?
    550 Maxim, 550 Seca, 650 Maxim, 650 Seca, 750 Maxim, or 750 Seca?

    For the 550's: No.

    For all others: Yes, but it will only be correct for the 650 Maxim, and the rear brake will be slightly undersized for the 750's.

    What problem are you having with your current rear wheel?

    Sorry about that. Its a seca xj650rj. I just ordered bearings from xj4ever so that should fix it.

    If the bearings were the only issue then you did exactly the right thing.
