Ok...What a hell of a last couple of weeks. I took my project bike to a new local shop (great guy, Mountain Top in Pine Grove, PA. I gotta give scott props, good dude). Anyway, what went from getting my carbs tuned. Turned into finding some exhaust issues. Plus my airbox had a crack in it. That's what we get with almost 30 year old bikes!

So the decision was made...4 into 1 and pods. (I know, I know, circle of hell). Well the exhaust did not come off easy and now I have 3 broken studs. (This stud is not broken  ). So, I'm going out this weekend to pick her back up and bring it home to pull the motor to get to the one stud. I've read about just removing the head, but my new pick wires need to be run under the motor. So she is coming out. I left my book at his shop, so no pre reading for me by the weekend.

Are there any tricks I should know about? Any comments?

Also, One more quick prop...CHACAL!!!! Thanks for all the parts!!!!!

Just over this past week CHACAL hooked me up with many parts and was really quick with low prices. Need parts, first email CHACAL!

    Thanks for reading all,

    Pics to following this weekend.

    "The Airbox was cracked."

Auto Body Supply Stores have Plasti-weld in a wide-variety of colors.
Including the most popular color of all: Black.

    Fix the Airbox.
Tune the Bike with the Airbox and it will run right.

Changing-over to Pods just means you won't be able to Fine Tune the Bike to get its BEST Performance.
Oh, sure ... you're guy will make the Bike go.
But he can't make the Bike go, ... Great.

If you haven't ruined it, ... I'll buy the Airbox!

the oil filter has to come off, the bolts on the u-joint are really tight and the boot over it likes to get smashed
i think it's easier to just take the swingarm off, you can do that without a book
