'82 XJ750 Maxim Kickstand safety switch. Clutch safety switch..
The indicator on the dash came on. tested the switch. still worked. Before that, On occasion the bike would start even with the kickstand down. I was very diligent about cleaning and greasing every bullet, and plug wiring connection/plugs + pins I could find. I Removed the switch, and unplugged it. The indicator light is still on. The bike still starts and runs so far for 2000+ KMS. I fear it may leave me stranded. I even tried cutting the wire that sends the signal directly to the Indicator circuit in the dash. Still on. (I reconnected it as it was just an experiment) I understand the NO/NC. any advice would help. I had my schematic blown up to 11" x 17" at staples. (big Help) found a coloured one and printed it off.
Also I replaced my broken clutch safety switch. It still does not work. Every connection in the headlight housing has been cleaned and liberally greased.
Any help or suggestion would be Appreciated. Thanks so much Keep the rubber side down.
