I have an 82 xj750 seca, I have taken it to the church of clean, checked valve clearances, synced, and when I went to colortune cylinder #1 isnt firing! I checked compression and it is good, and i can see a strong spark through the colortune. I can sometimes get an orange flash at high rpm, which leads me to believe it is running really rich and flooding the cylinder, but i am not sure why that is happening or how to fix it. The only thing I am not super confident on is the float level, I have tried to set it a few times, could that cause this to happen? Thanks!

Pull the plug for #1 and swap it with the plug for #2.
Does the problem stay with #1, or does it move to #2?

Float levels set too high will cause a rich condition that can't be adjusted out at the mixture needles.
    Did you wet-set them?
    Setting the fuel levels

It stays the same, so I just wet-set them again and all are in spec. I went back through carbs and they look great. I made sure there were no air leaks in any of the intake rubber. The plug is wet when i pull it. When I use the choke I can see combustion happening through the colortune but not off choke.
