Hello! When cleaning up my new to me Seca, I noticed the damper was covered in real grimy oil. I reckon it could use a rebuild, if possible.
I heard it's a different damper than the naked version? If anyone has some info on it and how to rebuild it, please give me all the details! Been looking online but can't seem to find anything. Also, would a "universal" damper work on it? Only asking in case I can't rebuild it or mess it up. The huge front fairing does catch a lot of wind so I'd like to have a working one. Thanks!

Good question @ourygrip . I had the same question about a year ago when I tore down mine to do forks and brakes. I never found a good answer. To me, it seemed to be still working OK at doing dampening things, so I just re-installed it.
