Just bought the 750.When I go down smooth roads the headlight wiggles all over the place.Someone pointed out that it's getting into (dear) rutting season here, and I want to be able to see infront not to the sides-up-down etc...
Anyone know how to attach the knob to the headlight bracket? The knurled knob will turn, but it doesn't feel like it's threaded into the bracket.

Hi Ross, the knob is attached to the threaded portion via a c-clip. Make sure it's there. If it isn't (like it rattled loose) then just lock-tite it and be done with it. It's a cool idea to have the ability to adjust the headlight to accomodate the riding conditions but in actuality it is not a very robust design.

Still, I like the fairing on my 750 Seca and would not ride without it. And yes, it is getting very close to the rutting season so be very careful on those night rides. Forget about the legal speed limits and DO NOT over ride your headlight.

I had to make a couple of modifications on the headlight mechanism in order to make it rigid enough to suit me. Now my headlight is stable enough that it is not an issue for me.

You could probably make a bracket that would hold the headlight in one position with no adjustments possible if it continues to give you fits.

There is supposed to be a spring above the plastic piece the headlight mounts to as well. That keeps the vibration dampned. My local ace hardware has a nice selection of compression springs and I got one that wasnt too stiff and cut it to length. The c-clip proved difficult to find but I managed to replace it with a wire spring clip that worked great and hasnt come off. This left me with the ability to adjust my headlight to a reasonable degree.
