This Bike was originally sold as a Tour pack bike. but when I got it as a basket case it was missing one of the panniers. Ive since switch it over to full naked configuration but I still have the fairing with lowers and the rear rack with the trunk and one pannier. The tour pack is almost complete including the seat pin, wire extensions and signal relocation stalks. The only thing its missing is one fairing pocket cover and the one pannier (amd maybe a couple bolts here and there).

The bike has 42K on it but the motor was swapped to one with 24K on it. For my full asking price I will include EVERYTHING: The main bike, the tour pack parts and a 95% complete parts bike with a guarrantied running motor. The parts bike has a lost title but the last registered owner is still in the area if someone wanted to pursue that (I didnt, I just bought it for parts). the parts bike could be a runner very cheaply. I had planned to make it a Cafe project to go side by side with the stocker.

This Bike has had just short of a complete frame off restoration. It runs and rides great, everything works on it, compression is good. The only real problem with the bike is that its got an occasional starter clutch grumble. Its not all the time, and usually the second kick will spin fine. (Ive been riding this bike daily and it seems this problem is actually lessening the more its ridden. Maybe the springs were crudded up and some fresh oil and heat has freed them up some)

Its got older tires but they have lots of treadlife left. The rear has a tube in it, not sure on the front. The parts bike front tire is also usable. The carbs were completely gone through including shaft seals and fuel line o-rings with parts from Chacal (Hey thanks for the parts and all the info btw!) The forks were rebuilt with progressive springs, the anti dive system and front brakes were completely gone through and work perfectly. The exhaust is an aftermarket 4-2 (Mac blunt cut I believe). The bike just had new paint professionally done as well.

This bike has countless hours into its restoration and with the very rare tour pack parts and a complete other bike to go with it, Im asking $1650 for it. I I were a younger man I wouldnt hesitate to jump on this bike tomorrow and just point and go.

(Im not parting the bike or the parts bike at this time so please dont ask. If this doesnt sell as a complete package then I will make a seperate listing for the parts. Thanks for your consideration)

    the designation simply means:

    R - seca

    J - 1982

    K - 1983

Not whether it had bags or not, or a 'configuration'.

Sorry, the bikes are in Oregon. Clear title on the main bike, lost title status on the parts bike. Happy to help arrange shipping, but with both of them being rollers would probably be better to show up with a big truck. ;)

I just read that you're not selling parts (after PM-ing you)

I'd like to be first-in-line for the turn signal bracket if you do sell parts.

(or- maybe someone else has that bracket??)

And I gotta say you do great work on a budget !!

Sale Pending on this bike folks. Barring a disaster Black Beauty is moving to Canada and sounds like a fellow XJ lover is taking her over.

Hes taking her with the tour pack but without the parts bike so I will likely have parts available soon, but sorry the tour stuff is leaving.

Why are all of the good ones so damn far away? It's like I live in the anti-classic bike part of the country! Grrr
