85 pick up coil colors

    Hey I'm new to forum. Building a bobber for a buddy and re wiring hole bike. Using moto gadget M unit. But I'm looking to find out what wire colors from the pick up go to coils. From that small left side cover....I have Black orange and grey in a connector then a black/red and Blue separate. Thank you

    Black orange and grey go to the TCI, blue is the neutral switch wire and black/red is for your oil level switch.

    Ya I kinda pulled a "dubbah" moment. I was gathering pieces from stock harness I needed and realized it plugged into the CDI box haha. But good to know about the other two. Thank you

    pick coils the wires go to the tci not directly to ignition coils.

    Right so the black orange and grey come from pick up to the TCI then out to coils, think I have the right?

    Yes the signal from the pickups go to the three plug TCI but going out to the coils from the other plug the wiring is red/white stripe and gray go to one coil low tension plug and red/white stripe orange go to the other coil.
