85 XJ 700 spark plugs

    Has anyone used BP8ES plugs in this engine?? What did you get for results? Book calls for BR8ES but they soot up if the bike idles for a while. Thanks :)

    Check the book, I thinks that shoud be BPR8ES.
    Check the resistance of the plug caps, I am running 5k caps & BP8ES plugs.

    Caps are 5K , just wondered about the P in the number. You cured my problem. Will install BP8ES . Thanks Wizard :)
