Last rode in mid-September, then had to travel, didn't try to start until mid-October. It won't start, turns over, has spark, but will not fire. It backfired a couple of times. Bike has always been cold natured, would always start when cold, but would turn over quite a few times before firing. Had the carbs cleaned and syncd last April before riding season. Any suggestions? Thanks

Make sure your battery is fully charged then try starting. If battery is low you will still get engine turn over & spark but will not have enough juice to get it to fire up. If it still won't atart after the battery charge, spray some starting fluid into the air box. It should start then which may also indicate your enrichment sicuit in the foat bowels needs cleaning. Give that a try & post back.
    Good Luck

If the bike has been standing for a while the float bowls will be dry & if they do have any fuel in them it will be next to useless, put the petcock on PRI for 2 mins', then back to ON, if your battery is fully charged she will fire right up.
