I got a second bike and now must pass my Maxim on to someone else. It's currently sitting at my place in San Francisco, CA and the full story of the bike can be traced through my posts on here.

I bought it as the 4th owner with 11k on the clock and the odometer was at 17k when I removed it from the bike to start modifying it. Mechanically it's in good condition and I've performed all the service work on it.
Known issues are : throttle cable sticks (needs to be lubed? have spare), it's got pods on it and it will bog at around ~7.5k (I haven't done much tuning to it), the screw holding the lifter for cylinder 1 choke is missing, and one of the exhaust manifold bolts is broken off (there is .6" sticking out, the rest have some anti-seize on them and can be removed easily).

You can see how the bike currently sits at the end of this thread here The only difference is the cat scratched holes in the leather seat and I've since removed it. The seat pan is still there.

First and foremost I'd love to sell this bike as a whole to someone who will take care of it, but barring that I have all of the original parts (except the rear fender section) and am open to parting it out. I can't put a price on this bike as the joys of riding it and working on it are beyond any money I could ever get for it. As such, make me a reasonable offer and we'll work something out.

I need an engine to drop into my '85 XJ 700 Maxim. Does the engine run well? How much for the engine with shipping to Orlando, FL?
