    Hello all.
I have replaced regulator/rectifier and generator brushes and replaced stator jack (3 white wires) with three single m/f connectors and red wire of rectifier connected separately of main jack (chassis side of connection was melted, pushing new male terminal out of connector). Will start and run but not putting out more than 12.5 volts. Checked as voltage out of generator and it's under 300 millivolts! Stator "legs" each measure above .4 ohm but below 1 ohm. Is stator my problem?
Also, oddly, to me, the new brushes were almost exactly same length as old brushes. Assuming, uh oh, that old brushes were worn, I expected new ones to be longer.
