Need a little more to work with. What location on the bike was it sitting? Do you have a E manual yet? I am looking but can't seem to see it my manual...I will keep looking and check my bike on Sunday.

Your bike is the "XJ700X" model...liquid cooled. A few of us active on here trying to bring them back to life. Lots of great folks on here with lots of info, so keep asking, someone will chime in with good info.

That's the connector for the turn signal and starting circuit relay which should be mounted to your frame with a rubber hangar on the tab in the center with the slot in it.

Also, make sure you put your bike description in your signature. I'll sure help in us knowing what you have.
