I am in need of the collector section for a stock Seca 900 exhaust. I will consider a complete exhaust either stock or after-market. Please let me know what you have.

I have the header pipes and collector of a 1984 xj750rl seca. The frames and many other components are interchangable with the 83 900 seca. Not positive on the collector swap but I'm sure there would be someone on here that would know.

If you wanted to go the new route I recently put a Marving 4 into 1 on my 83 900 Seca. Went on easy, fits well and runs good. I got mine from Wemoto in the UK.

I looked at the Marving system and it is definitely a possibility. Can you advise how loud the system is?

I'll try to attach a video file of it running so you can get an idea of the sound. I would say it sounds similar to the old Kerker 4 into 1 of the eighties. I think there were two options for the Marving, this is the sportier exhaust of the two. I'm running pod filters and dynojet stage 3 kits in the carbs. If the link doesnt't work let me know and I'll try something else.

Hi NovaScotiaMark: I took your advise and the marving System is enroute. Thanks for the tip. One additional question if I may? Did you have to rejet the carbs when you installed the system? If you did can you advise what the final jetting was as a head start?

    Thanks: Bob C.

    Hello Bob,
I have the dynojet stage 3 kits installed in the carbs so they are jetted with dynojet jets not the standard mikuni jets. The dynojet kit can be setup as stage 1, 2 or 3. The different stages have different jet sizes. Stage 3 is for pod filters and aftermarket 4 into one exhaust which is how mine is setup. I also have my brothers 900 setup the same way. I'll take a look to see if I still have the paper that came with the kit listing the jet sizes. I think there are some crossover charts online comparing dynojet to mikuni sizes. They sizing system on the two jet types is different so for example a 120 mikuni jet is not the same as a 120 dynojet jet.

If you go onto the dynojet website and search for a kit for the 1983 xj900 there is a download button that shows the installation instructions for the kit. It lists the various jet sizes and for which stage they are meant. Keep in mind that the kit is not jets only but also different profile needles, air jet adjustment, slide drill and needle spacers. All very easy to do.

I installed the kit on my 1983 xj900. Just followed the directions, pretty straight forward. I used the stage 3 combination of jets since I have the pods filters and the 4 into 1 exhaust. Bike runs very good. My brother has a 900 as well and we put the same kit on his. Also running well.

Are you referring tho the exhaust or the dynojet kit? If it's the exhaust , yes it bolted up no prblem.
