900 top ends and cranks...

    I have a 900 top end 58L which is the 891CC XJ900 and a Bottom end from the 853CC 31A (the only one sold in the States)
    After having buzz therough here i cant find the answer to my question which is Do the 2 go together, Will the larger capacity top end go on the other cases? Do i have to change the whole top end or just the barrels and pistons, maybe i have to change the Con rods and crank as well...

    If anyone knows, Big thanks for advice and answers...
