Can't find what i need to make the modifications i want to do this year.I'm really interrested in removing the gauge cluster and go with a single small spedometer. All i can find is old junk.Anybody have a idea where to buy a new one. Also looking to replacing the bars this year but the brake line is to short as well as the clutch cable.I have an idea of removing the gauges and wiring in my gps it has a spedo but then it's digital and not the look i'm going for.But i just hate that gauge cluster on the bike now.Any ideas would be greatly apprecited

Swap it with one from a 550 Seca? (more easily modified...)

Fitz I love those gauges, What did they come off of again? Must be an 84 or 85 900 me thinks.

I was thinking about doing that same thing with my ug-a-ly square Seca gauges. I took'm off, marked the wires and sold'm to one of the members here on the forum. Now to find a speedo that will work.
I went shopping for one on the internet and ended up finding one off Ebay for cheap. It was off an onl CB350 Honda. It fir perfevt with a little help from a homemade bracket I made. It's actually more accurate then the stock speedometer. I didn't feel I needed a tach...what for? I don't think I ever red-lined my engine yet, and shift by ear anyways.
Most older (mechanical) speedometers from a Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha or Kawasaki have the same ratio, so most would work. It's just a metter of making them fit and look right.
Here's the mount I made out of aluminum and painted black to fit on the top tree ahead of the bars. I used LED lights for the signals, neutral light indicator and high beam:
