So who else is familiar with Velocity channel?? Well they are airing a show now that will play again over the next week several times that is a MUST SEE if you love motorcycles. Trust me on this one. If you don't have Velocity then go to a friends house who does, or I will try and record it and get it to transfer media and post it for ya. This is GOOD stuff!

Velocity is the channel, the show is "What's in the Barn?," and the episode is "12 hours & Running." I don't know where these guys are located but once I figure that out, they're on my list of places and people to visit.

We're talking 100's of vintage motorcycles!!! The likes of which you've rarely or never seen (Henderson, Ace, Traub??, Wow!) and the whole show is about them starting these classics in a short period of time. Some haven't run for DECADES, but who cares they once ran so it's time for them to FIRE AGAIN!! Even if they are priceless works of rare engineering art! LOVE IT!

I would gladly spend many $$$$ on vintage bikes which require my attention rather than drop $30,000 on a new BMW under warranty.

I was there a few years ago and they had the worlds largest rideable motorcycle on display. I can reach 8 feet high and the handle bars were just within my reach.

I can't get the velocity channel (or the speed channel) where I live. I could only wish.

When I was Road Captain for our local CMA chapter, I led some rides to Wheels Through Time. The motorhead in me never wanted to leave.

The owner, Dale Walksler, will probably be around the building talking to folks if you visit.

Sometimes, Dale even takes some of his old motorcycles and does burnouts inside the building! He has his own machine shop there and fixes or makes new parts for his bikes. Almost all of the bikes in there run. He is truly a motorcyle guy.

After going through the museum, I could just sit there and read all of the old motorcycle mags he has in the upstairs "lounge".

If you are ever anywhere near Maggie Valley, it's well worth the trip to visit. Just don't plan anything else for that day!
