I am installing an Acewell 3251 on my XJ750. I purchased the S4 cable adapter for the speedometer. The cable fits, but for some reason, my connection is not threaded , but rather an eyelet/clip that is secured by a screw. Not a big deal but, for anyone else who may come across this problem, I simply cut the clip off the original cable with my dremel and a cutting wheel, and secured it to the new one using an ear clamp. Clean and secure, and works beautifully. I could paint it black to match the rest of the bike, but you cant see it once it is installed anyway. I also put a small rubber washer in the threaded part, as it was slightly larger in diameter than the original cable connection. I know it may seem insignificant, just thought I'd contribute. Here's a pic.
