What is out there as far as exhaust systems for my 80 XJ650g? I like the straight slash cut look and sound (although not sure how they sound on the XJs).

I dont have a welder (at the moment) or else I would probably build my own.

    Thanks for the suggestions

About the closest i have found is a Mac 4:2 with turnout mufflers. Look pretty nice, have heard them on a CB750K twin cam motor and they sound great. DK has them for $358.00 a set. They also have a set pf Taper tip style for the same price. cruzerjd

I think MAC is the only company that still makes aftermarket exhausts for our bikes actually. You can get various styles - 4-into-1 or 4-into-2, megaphones, baloney tubes, slash cuts, etc...
Dennis Kirk is a pretty good supplier, but they've gotten expensive the last 5 years or so -- you're much better off doing a search online for MAC exhausts, or browsing Ebay

There are tons of mufflers on Ebay that will fit. I've bought 3 sets just to do some experiments with for my bikes. They were to cheap to pass up! They fit onto the stock header pipes of my Seca. I have Emgo shorty mufflers on now. I have a pair of Jardines (slash-cut) mufflers that slip right on (sound pretty good) and a pair of Harley Screamin' Eagle mufflers that I have yet to see how they sound (my buddy has them over his place)The Jardines look pretty much like the stock mufflers, but are louder. Any muffler that has an 1-1/2" opening will fit.
