    I cant find the thread about the correct position of the main and pilot air jets and which manual has the correct positioning. Could someone Identify the correct position of the link to the thread. Thanks

    I can tell you the Haynes has them backwards... if that helps (at work, reference materials at home.)

    The larger jet feeds the Emulsion tube and "piston slider needle"

    The smaller jet feeds the "Pilot" system, and is towards the throttle butterfly.

    Nope, exactly backwards for the AIR jets........the smaller air jet is for the main fuel circuit and goes in the center hole. The LARGER air jet is for the pilot fuel circuit and goes into the forward hole.

    The rear hole is for a cover plate hold-down screw............many models of Hitach carbs do not use the air jet cover plate, so don't worry if it's missing.
