Dog not so nice when she chews my front brake lines! But don't think she will do it again :) I quietly remind her every time its out of the garage; and to be fair I don't think she liked the taste of the brake fluid.

It's a 29R (XJ750E-II), one year only, Japan only model that's about 95% based on the 31A XJ900RK, but with a modified 750 motor (Cant remember the full details but I believe the valves are slightly bigger & the crank stroked all of .1mm) and other unique bits like the exhausts & 33mm carbs.

IIRC there's supposedly only 881 or so made. Wonder what number this one is? :) Nice to see other 29R's are out there even if they are mainly in NZ or Aus, By the way many thanks are due to z32800 for all the help with the info, manuals & parts books etc :) 8)

I think so adrian1; here is a list of the 750's that didnt make it out of Japan unless they were rescued by someone as an import to another country.

    1981 XJ750A-5G8-10000 Made
    1983 XJ750D-22N-100000 Made
    1983 XJ750E-5G9-20000 Made
    1983 XJ750E-II-29R-10000 Made

I will gracefully apologise if you can prove me wrong. :)

Anybody wants the list of XJ750's and 900's PM me and I will email a copy

Wow 10 thousand... Actually saying that I think you might've told me that before but I keep seeing this 881 number bandied about & it stuck haha!

But until someone from the factory speaks up, I believe your graceful apologies will be quite unnecessary 8)

What is this list you speak of? Sounds interesting...
