ive been daily driving my xj for about a month now. i love it alot. why doesnt EVERYONE ride a bike? people would be much better drivers if they only rode a bike once..

anyways, i tried to bench sync my carbs after cleaning them and i must have done a craptastic job. i ended up buying a vacuum guage so that i could really sync them but im having a hard time getting a good reading on my vac gauge at 14-1600 rpm per the guide in th FAQ forum. it takes me almost 2k for the needle to stabilze. is that too high of an rpm to sync?

once im done there im supposed to colortune and dial in my mixture right? wll i got a colortune and i was messing with it on my bike and saw that i cant really see enough a color on the plug at idle to tell whether its rich or lean. i have to rev up to probably 2k to see anything and then it varies between blue and orange. so i cant really tell whats happening...

one more thing, tighten the mix screw to make it rich right?

yup sure did. and double checked to make sure it wasnt leaking and its not. the gauige stabilizes at higher rpms just not at 14-1600 per ricks instructions.
