Wow. I feel like an idiot. Not sure what I did.. except possibly poor research??

I ordered a set of Avon am26 tires for my 1981 xj550.. front seems fine but rear rim is a j16 x mt3.00. the current tire is a pirelli 130/90-16. Not sure if theirs an am26 for it now. My wife offered to buy them for my birthday while we were out, damn you Google! (Rather my Google skills)

Anyone know which avon am26 would fit on the rear of my maxim?

Yes, that's what I'm running on my 650. I'd like to try an mu85-16 but I don't think I'll clear the swing arm

Just checked mine and that's what I have on it, so yes the MT90-16 is the current AM26 tire equivalent to the 130/90-16.

The RoadRiders are awesome tires. Been running them for the past 4-5K miles and they ride and grip nice.
They also don't track road or concrete grooves like some others, and they're a V-rated bias ply too.
No doubt they will be what I'll put on again when this set wears out.

Okay thanks guys. A little too eager for the new tires.. haste makes waste.. mt90-16 should work fine then.
