Hi, I just did intro so now to nuts(like me?)& bolts. My '82 650w 30k came w the requisite mouse nests in exhaust & airbox but after carb clean ran nice. Pulled clutch and although plates were still 1/2 there could only get cable freeplay w both adjuster nuts at bottom end of holder. Oil pump chain is rather sloppy so I dug deeper-oops,chunk of starter chainguide in pan :( . Next will pull valve cover to look at stuff but am thinking all chains and guides should be redone. That said I seem to have a complete teardown ahead. I've looked at used guides on ebay but they're the same age so new seems right. One poser-gasket sets for Maxim won't work for Seca according to an ebay seller?? Is there big difference or just some small bits-I thought engines were the same except for cams. I've thought about another engine too but that would be a pig in a poke and this one does run nice. I am commited to the beast-new tires, seat cover, bars, mirrors, levers etc. Even got KBS for beautiful but rusted tank :( . Thank you for admitting me to your great site. Guzzi John-Champlin,Mn
