    Hey all,

thought i better join up - there are not a huge amount of sites dedicated to these great bikes!

The name is Tim, i'm 28 years old, and live in NSW, Australia.
I have been riding since i was about 4 and have had more bikes than i can remember!
    Currently i have an XJ900 84, HD SuperGlide 04 and a CT110 Postie Bike.

I joined up because i just love XJ's and am im the middle of rebuilding my bike again.
Currently, it looks like this - http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/1533387/ but i am looking to convert
the front end to something more modern - USD forks and modern brakes.
Has anyone played with stuff like that?

Anyway, i just wanted to say hi and share a few pics.

    Hi mate
Welcome to another Aussie, & another XJ900 owner.
Nice looking naked bike. Looks a lot like mine (no surprise - same model, same year), except for the naked part.
I've often wondered how mine would look minus the fairing - turns out it looks good.

What part of NSW are you from? You can see from my signature that I'm from the Northern Rivers region.
My bike is currently being brought back from a 2 year hiatus & I hope to have it on the road again ASAP.
If your not too far away we could catch up for a ride once our bikes are goers.
I'd also like to find out more about the naked conversion.

    Take care

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! @skeeta, im about 30 minutes south from port macquarie, up in the mountains. When i got my XJ it had the fairing and all on it, but i decided that naked was the go for me.

All up i have been very lucky with this old girl. got it for free in boxes, bought a 2nd hand engine for $250. stripped, painted and polished it over the next year with my dad. put it all together and it fired straight up!

Only sad part is that it has sat unregistered for the last 3 years, due to me buying a Harley SuperGlide. I'm pretty well over that now, so its time to get the XJ back on the road. A few little upgrades to make it nice, and then time to enjoy myself again.
