Any suggestions for light touring/multi-purpose riding?

    I'm looking to get a newer motorcycle such as an FZ6, or SV650, or maybe even a Breva 750. I am looking for something multi-purpose as I will be using it for going to work, day rides, as well as some overnight rides. So i want something comfortable, that can have hard bags added and removed at will and won't balk at carrying a passenger. Oh, and I would like it under the 800cc level.

    Any suggestions?

    All the guys I know with the SV650S love them, great for rides and tracks. Dont know if they can be fitted with bags though.

    yeah I have heard nothing but good things about SV650s, FZ6's and the DL650 (VStrom)
