I've never done one, but I was thinking I might be fun to sign up for one of the Distinguished Gentleman's Rides in Colorado. Could be a good inaugural event for the 900 if I can get it ready in time.

Has anybody done one of these?

I did it last year here in Rochester, NY and will do it again this year. I am looking for a more appropriate distinguished suit at AMVets and Goodwill for this year. Not an easy task. Was a blast though.
Here are some pictures from last year: DGR pics

Cool. Thanks for the pics. Was it an all-day ride? They don't give you much info on the website.

In order to register and get more info, you have to choose which event, but I'm not sure which one I want to do as there are several in the area. I picked one because I had to, but now I don't see any way to change so might be stuck.

Guess now I need to get a cap, vest and a pocket watch. :)

I'm signed up. Should be fun!

I did find a way to change the event btw...it's on the Account page.

I did ride the DGR in Boulder, Colorado. Had a friend on his BMW R100RS sign up with me. Not really knowing what to expect, we deliberately chose one of the smaller events. There were only around 30 riders that showed up (out of 49 registered). In hindsight, one of the larger rides might have been fun with more bikes to look at. Yamaha was definitely under-represented with only one other tuning fork bike, and it believe it was a 2020 XSR900. I was watching videos from some of the events over in the UK and they are HUGE by comparison (even spotted a couple XJ900's in the crowd!).

Unfortunately, I didn't get a lot of photos. Can you spot the 900? Bikes ran the gamut from a little Lambretta scooter to the two-seater sidecar Gold Wing houseboat that had the whole family along.

Fun event. I'll probably do it again next year but might try the Colorado Springs or Denver ride to see what those are like.
