anyone ever get a new headlight off ebay for an older xj550?

    Hey- My 1982 XJ550 is doing well, but the headlight needs to be replaced. An ebay vendor who seems to sell quite a few lights advertises that his 7 inch lamps can be mounted on Yamahas as well as other bikes.

    It looks quite similar in size to my light, but i'm wondering if anyone knows anything about these lights. Also the metal rim around the lamp is what needs to be replaced. Is there a way to replace the casing around the light as well?

    Do the lights fit older bikes? are they easy to install? any info would be great. thanks.
