I just got my new carb bowl replacement drain screws from Chacal
    today :D
BUT the screw on #4 bowl was way too stuck and the head was already gone. I tried an extractor (that broke off) then tried to drill it outl...no joy, and now it's impossible to get the new screw in there (looks like i have knackered it)
So now i need a #4 carb bowl.
Wish i'd left it well alone now.
    Cheers
    Nick
P.S. trying to get carbs in the uk is nigh on impossible.
    I'll pay shipping of course.
    Thanks
    Nick

I think Chacal has some bowls - at least give him a shot...

if it's a standard 6x1 thread, try running a tap through it
if it leaks put some teflon tape on the point

Thanks for your replies folks. I have already 'spoken' with Chacal and i may well have to order another carb bowl (thankfully he has got one in stock). The trouble with trying to get the new screw in there is that i don't think that all of the old one has come out. It seems to be embedded into the old thread and i have tried and tried to rill out as much as i can, Of course we don't have much room in there.
I've also tried to re-thread it without much luck.
Think i'll have one more go at it later before i order the new bowl.
    Bah
    Thanks again
    Nick
