Hey guys, need a little advice. I need to do a little trial and error with the bike. The problem Im having is that i cant ride the thing for more than 10 minutes before it sputters and dies a the next stop sign i come to. the damn thing will sit there and idle for an hour in my driveway but as soon as i hop on and hit the road it doesn't last long. Ill take it home and let it sit for a while and she fired right back up and will idle all day long again. anyway im replacing the intakes and putting pods on the carbs but before i rejet i want to ride it and do some trial and error to see if i can find out why its stalling. so i need to know, since it will be running lean, how long it might take to ruin the engine, (also if anyone has any other ideas on my stalling while riding problem). thanks

Gas cap vent problem. - - try trapping a couple thin wires in the cap, to make a little air leak, then go for a ride.

You could be out of sync. That's what mine did. It acts like a vac leak at higer temps. But mine went away after it was synced

Do a search about putting pods on these bikes before you commit to it.

Many have tried.....many have failed, I'd say almost all have been dissapointed with the results from what I have read.

Next time it happens pull a plug and see if its firing. If not, could be a bad TCI unit.
