Anyone seen/tried these aftermarket coils before?

    They make them in different resistances, but serving as an example product -- it would seem like a full aftermarket replacement -- working with the CDI on our bikes.

    Thought it was worth a mention and discussion.

    ...except we don't use CDI. We have TCI (Transistor Controlled Ignition).

    I did a quick forum search on "accel coil", which returned plenty of hits. I don't know if anyone on here has actually installed a set, but if not, perhaps you could be the first and let us know how it works out. :D

    (shrug) Happens a lot around here. No worries. :)

    It does say "point or electronically triggered", but it also repeatedly mentions CDI.

    Hadn't noticed that before. I imagine someone could (or has) hack(ed) together some mounting brackets for yon beastie, as has been done with the Dyna coils.

    Next question would be size; are they as large as the Dynas? If so, then the flasher unit would need to be relocated.
