    Hi Guys,
I have an 82 XJ750 Maxim, and the speedo has imploded on itself and the needle is broken on the tacho.
My questions is are there other models that the clocks would work on mine? for example 1990 XJ600?
It doesn't have all the warning lights/display (which is fine by me as it is always lit up like a christmas tree) does this present any issues i need to over come? or is the the internal mechanical speedo interchangeable between models? it looks like the same one is used well into the 90s from what i can see in pictures? the Maxim only shows 80Mph...... I have been using GPS speedo on my phone and max is logged at 101mph and that wasn't flat out.......

do you want to change the style ?
if you remove the atari setup there is wiring to be done to bypass all the computer stuff.
you can keep the module and just relocate it . there are several threads here on doing this.

Thanks XJ for the link, If it all worked i wouldn't change it. I'm fitting a maier sport fairing so their appearance kinda suits, but the seca ones in the uk are not very nice to look at and the XJ600 clocks are cheaper and dont look too bad display close-ish mileage so mainly would the tacho and fuel gaquge be compatable?

So i ordered the clocks and they came today apart from repairs that were not in the listing they are ok, resin is my friend.........so the tacho isn't interchangeable.....i connected it up and nothing......there is an additional printed circuit board in the XJ600 clocks that is connected or requires the same feeds as the tacho but has an additional yellow and black wire i can't find on the wiring diagram.......luckily the original tacho from the Atari clocks was working and the face and needle from the XJ600 clocks swaps over and with a little adjustment with the Dremel it can be made to fit in the housing, the fuel guage looks straight forward but i haven't hooked it up yet,
