Several months ago Motorcycle Classics (ride 'em, don't hide 'em) was asking for stories about old bikes. I sent them a little blurb and a couple of photos of my XJ's. Lo and behold there it is on the last page in this months issue. Here is a link to the online version.

They even managed to put in a plug for xjbikes.com, and yes just like the old Dr. Hook song about him getting his picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone I did buy 5 copies for my mother!

Righteous brother! Love the scenery, the bikes, great article! Thanks for the link to the mag, never heard of it before.

How many good riding days do you get on the island? I have some cousins that live there and they tell me it's great. Nice lean on the last turn! I think I saw Dr. Hook in concert when I was a little kid what else did they do?

Oh but now you've gone and done it. We'll have 20,000 members before years end. XJ convention anyone? In Vancouver?

Hey there Mercury Man, yes indeed the riding is fairly decent here on the island. We can easily go 200-250 days a year. Some folks ride all year round. It was about 50 degrees F today but can get frosty and sometimes even have a bit of snow between now and March.

    Hey there Glen,

Consider your self lucky for your weather and 250 days of riding. Over here in Ontario I get 3 months of real summer and the rest is snow. The sled heads are already pissed off because our snow is late already!

I think I need to move to BC. I have some family in Cranbrook.

Bought my first bike in 35 years, '82 maxim 650, had no idea what a gem I wandered into for $650.00.
Subsequently have been amazed at the attention it gets from riders who are younger than the bike.
