But I'm keeping an eye open for a 45T motor out of the 1984 xj750.
    Cheers

I'm in Northern Sydney and have my XJ650 running along nicely but the right side muffler is getting near the end. I have a left side in good, undrilled condition and looking for a right side to match so I can put them on together. Would you guys please let me know if you hear or see one about?

    Thanks

    Hi Will
Have been off this site for a little while.
How is the rebuild going. Might have some spares if you need. Let me know. I am in Sydney.

Merry Christmas. thought it's time to wake up the Aussie thread. Got the bottom half of my fairing off at the moment, the "beak" was worn thru and got sick of the cracks where it was hard against the 4-1, so i have got it all patched up and a bulge put in to clear the pipe. looks 100% now, just have to paint it, can get away with doing the bottom white only just need to find a white that matches. Chacal's site mentions a few different Yamaha whites is there a paint code on the bike somewhere, just need to be close as there is a black strip in between it and the next white bit.

    G'day,
I have had my XJ650 RJ for a few years, I put her aside when I bought a Yamaha FJ1100, I figured I would give the XJ a nice paint job while she was de-registered. Turns out the FJ took all my attention and the XJ never got a look in. Well now that I have gotten around to getting a club membership, I will be getting a club plate for her and I will ride her whenever the FJ is getting repaired in my spare time, almost 3 days out of seven.

    G'day,
I always loved the classic lines of this XJ, not so much a fan of the cruiser version though. My XJ was always more reliable than my quirky FJ which is why I am in the throes of getting her back on the road again.

    Cheers, Gareth

    Hi All,
I'm in Bundaberg and have 2 x XJ 650's and 3 x XJ 900's (just can't seem to say no whenever a cheap XJ comes along)
only have 1 x 650 and 1 x 900 on the road at present and the rest are "works in progress"

Hi I live in Wollongong NSW and have just purchased a 1983 XJ900 off Pat-Aus from forum which I'm not sure of what I'll be doing either back to factory, cafe racer or scrambler.
Would love to hear from guys in NSW that have done either cafe racer or scrambler to see how they went with getting rego with frame cut.
